Our rate increase was effective January 1st. For our residential customers, the bill amount will increase from $56.00 per 60-day bill cycle, to $58.00. Our commercial customers will see an increase from $.0373/c.f. to $.0387/c.f.
Our Des Moines & Kent customers will continue to have a Franchise Fee added to their bill. This amount is collected by Midway Sewer and paid to the Cities of Des Moines and Kent. Our Federal Way customers will continue to have a Utility Tax added to their bill. This amount is collected by Midway Sewer and held in a separate bank account while the District and the City are in a legal battle regarding the Utility Tax.
