Customers can receive bills electronically, view bills and pay online thru the doxo network. Please visit: www.doxo.com/midwaysewerYou can also click the “View your e-billing statement and pay with Doxo” option in the upper right corner of the page to create an account or login if you already have an account. There is an additional fee for payments made thru the doxo network. Once you create a doxo account, all future bills will be delivered to your doxo account, and you will no longer receive bills in the mail. If you are having trouble with your Doxo account, it’s best to contact them directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (206) 319-0097.
Midway Sewer also offers online credit card payments as an alternative to the doxo network. Midway Sewer accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover. To pay with a credit card, please click on “Pay my bill with a Credit Card” in the top right corner of the home page. Please have your bill handy to complete the payment screen.
There are no convenience fees for online payments thru the Midway Sewer payment portal.

Midway Sewer District bills on a 60 day bill cycle. The full amount of the bill is due by the due date on the bill.
A late charge of 10% of the current charge will be added after the due date.
Des Moines customers will be charged an additional 6.11% for a City of Des Moines Franchise Fee. The fee is collected by Midway Sewer and paid to the City of Des Moines.
Federal Way customers will be charged an additional 8.55% for a City of Federal Way Utility Tax. The fee is collected by Midway Sewer and paid to the City of Federal Way.
- Account ResponsibilityOpen or Close
The current property owner is responsible for all charges on the Midway Sewer District bill. By law, sewer charges, including lien costs, remain with the property.
- Account ChangesOpen or Close
If ownership changes, buyer and seller must arrange for payment of previous charges. Please contact the District for a closing bill calculation.
Please contact the District if the mailing address has changed.
- Rental PropertyOpen or Close
The property owner is legally responsible for all charges on the Midway Sewer bill.
Midway Sewer will bill a tenant, please contact the District for an authorization form.
If Midway Sewer is billing a tenant and a lien is filed due to the tenant’s non-payment, the tenant’s name will be permanently removed from the account. All future billing and correspondence will go directly to the property owner.
If the owner of real property serviced by Midway Sewer District is not also the occupant of that property, a copy of the bill and any past due notices may be furnished to the owner, and will be furnished if requested in writing by the owner.

- Vacancy PolicyOpen or Close
1. Property must be continuously vacant for 6 months.
2. Account must be at a zero balance.
If the above items are met, the property owner can write a letter to the District, documenting the service address and the date it became continuously vacant.
Once a property qualifies for the Vacancy Policy, a Vacancy Certificate will need to be completed every billing period to continue suspension of the billing. Please contact the District if you have any questions regarding our Vacancy Policy.
