Comprehensive Plan
This Comprehensive Plan is the compilation of results and findings of recent planning and engineering analyses completed for Midway Sewer District. The purpose of the analyses was to assess the ability of the existing sanitary sewer and treatment systems to accommodate the wastewater flows from the existing and projected population of the District.
To simplify viewing and reduce your download times we have provided our Comprehensive Plan to you with two download options. Please note, all require Adobe Acrobat to view.

Call before you dig!
The Midway Sewer District (MSD) is required by law to belong to the Utility Underground Locating Center (UULC). The UULC is comprised of utility system owners who operate and maintain utilities of many sorts. The primary function of the UULC is to notify the utility owners of an excavator’s intention to dig.
Professional contractors and private property owners must contact the UULC at (800) 424-5555 to explain how, when and where they want to dig. The UULC then notifies the utility owners who have facilities in the area of proposed excavations.
By calling (800) 424-5555, excavators are able to take advantage of a free service offered by the utility owners to ‘mark’ their facilities. MSD is obligated to identify the location of existing sewer facilities within two business days of being notified by UULC that an excavator plans to dig within the district.
The excavators, utilities and the public all benefit from this service. People need to be safe from the dangers associated with accidentally finding existing utilities. Utility operators benefit by not having to replace functioning systems that are rendered useless by damage.
The UULC members take pride in maintaining quality systems for providing service to their customers. Please help us and yourselves by knowing where and where not to sink your shovel!
HAZARDOUS WASTE
The sewer is no place for hazardous waste! The disposal of hazardous waste into the sanitary sewer puts our workers and the environment at risk. If you have a product you want to dispose of and you are not sure if it is hazardous or what to do with it, please contact the King County Local Hazardous Waste Management Program. If you are a residence call (206) 296-4692. If you are a business call (206) 296-3976.
Their website, <Click Here> has a wealth of information available to assist you with the responsible disposal of your hazardous waste. They can also suggest some alternative to hazardous products. You can also use their materials exchange site, IMEX to provide your unwanted product to someone who can use it. You may find some products that you could use.
For your convenience a wastemobile periodically visits our area to collect your hazardous waste. You can find out the wastemobile schedule by going to: <Click Here>.
Please help to protect the environment and always properly dispose of your hazardous waste.
